KE-DireJet® System |
The KE-DireJet® System combines the advantages of the
diffuse air distribution characteristic for the KE-Low Impulse®
System with the more directional ventilation of e.g. the
KE-Inject® System.
Flexibility is key as the venturi
shaped nozzles may be located anywhere on the surface. The
number of nozzles per linear feet effective DireJet duct
determines whether the delivery of air will be diffuse or
highly directional. The suitability of the KE-DireJet®
System may be divided into 3 main principles:
Diffuse delivery
Rooms with relatively high comfort requirements (max. 40
FPM) may benefit from a combination of the DireJet principle
and the diffuse flow pattern of the KE-Low Impulse® System
in periods requiring less heating or when requiring
directional ventilation over one particular machine. In
addition, condensation problems on the ceiling in humid
rooms are eliminated merely by placing a few KE-DireJet®
nozzles per linear feet in the direction of the ceiling. For
this purpose the 1/2" & 3/4" nozzles will be particularly
suitable.
Combination delivery
The combination solution with KE-DireJet® nozzles and the
fabric is typically applied in rooms with medium comfort
demands. The difference between the KE-Inject® System and
the KE-DireJet® System for combination delivery is primarily
that the DireJet may be used even in very humid environments
without creating condensation problems and that both throw
and thermal penetration length are considerably longer than
those of the KE-Inject® System. Primarily this is an
advantage if the air is to be distributed over a larger
area. At the same time it should be noted that the
induction, i.e. the ability to entrain room air is
proportionally poorer. For this purpose the 3/4" & 1"
nozzles will be particularly suitable.
Directional delivery
With more process-oriented solutions where cooling and/or
heating demands primarily arise out of regard to the process
itself, the directional air distribution solely through the
KE-DireJet nozzles is extremely efficient. The air is
directed to the target area, and the flexible location of
the nozzles applies to almost all tasks. The directional
delivery applies favorably in high production rooms (H >
20-26 feet) as well as in gymnasiums, swimming
pools, storage facilities, in food terminals and in
equalizing cold stores in slaughterhouses. Maintenance of
this type of DireJet® systems is minimal as the filtration
effect of the textile is practically 0%. For this
purpose the 1", 2" (DireJet Vario) & 2 1/2" nozzles will be
particularly suitable.

KE-Inject® System |
KE-Inject® System
The Inject system is specially suitable for industrial
premises (room height 10-20 feet) where the need is for
different supply air temperatures whether it regards
heating, cooling or just replacement air.
In order to achieve a uniform and optimum air
distribution throughout the whole room, the entire length of
the inject duct is used as one long diffuser ensuring that
air delivery will not be limited to particular zones. The
patented orifice design makes air delivery velocities of up
to 3000 FPM through duct orifices possible without draft
problems. The advantage of a high delivery velocity is a
significant improvement of the injection capability or
induction compared with traditional ventilation fittings,
i.e. the ability to induce and mix room air is significantly
better with a KE-Inject® System.
When KE Fibertec introduced laser technology in the
production a new generation of hybrid products became
available. Before the laser technology was available the
choice had to be the 100% displacement product KE-Low
Impulse® System or the PVC-coated 0 porosity material with
orifice (holes) (the KE Inject System). With the new
production technology KE Fibertec is able to combine the
advantages of both systems, rendering a passive low impulse
system more active by adding rows of orifice holes to divert
the air away from the near zone right under the fabric duct.
KE-Laser Inject
- Laser cut inject can be used as a supplement for the
well known textile ducts, typically comfort premises
where high demands are made on a good air distribution
- and when temperature difference (delivery air and
room air) is higher than 7-9°F in order to avoid cold
drop right under the textile duct
- There is a need to wash the ceiling or exterior
glass to avoid condensation on any surface.
- There is both a cooling and a heating requirement in
the room.
- Laser-cut Inject can with advantage be combined with
regular textile ducts in offices, schools, restaurants
or in laboratories where there is a need for a certain
throw length.
The KE Inject system is available in three different
configurations:

| Low Velocity (LV) Hole Pattern |
Medium Velocity (MV) Hole Pattern |
Jet Velocity (Jet) Hole Pattern |

KE-Low Impulse® System |
KE-Low Impulse® System
The KE-Low Impulse® System is an ideal solution for the
delivery and distribution of cooled air, especially with
regard to hygiene, comfort, and temperature control.
The KE-Low Impulse® System is a system of lightweight,
flexible textile ducts that distribute and filter the cooled
air completely without drafts. The air slowly diffuses
through the permeable surface at a velocity of approx. 20
FPM, and the excellent air distribution ensures a good
working environment
- even in cold rooms.
The system is particularly well suited for the food
industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and the electronics
industry, however, it is also very relevant to applications
that require high cooling and ventilation loads. The KE-Low
Impulse® System air flow is based on the displacement
principle, i.e. differences in density (cold air displaces
warm air) and convective currents over heat sources being of
vital importance. The system will only work if the
fundamental physical laws are obeyed. As an example the
KE-Low Impulse® System cannot be used for heating purposes.
However, when sized properly it is possible to cool by up
to 63 BTU/ Sq Ft floor area without drafts, and the system
is condensation-free even at a humidity rate of over 90% RH.

KE-Interior® System

KE-Interior® System |
The KE Interior® system offers unique opportunities to
make a fabric duct system an architectural feature. The half
round ducts can be designed as an integrated part of the
interior design. Blending in with the design scheme that the
air distribution device remains virtually unnoticed. It can
also be an active visual part of the architectural layout,
with ducts and hanging hardware manufactured in a continuous
curve to accommodate the over all architectural scheme.
Further KE-Interior® systems are particular well suited for
applications which are cycling on and off during occupancy
hours. (Classrooms, offices etc) Due to the nature of the KE
Interior® system it will maintain the same appearance even
when the system is off. (Hyperlink) Click here for example.
The KE-Interior® System is available either as half-round or
quarter-round fabric ducts in a design adjustable to all
types of rooms, i.e. industrial kitchens, laboratories,
office environments, production facilities in the food
industry or the pharmaceutical industry.
The unique design ensures an optimum air distribution
regardless of ventilation requirements. Even at minimum
ventilation in systems with variable air flow (VAV, turned
down to 20% or lower), the KE Interior® system will keep a
nice appearance without sagging. The fresh air is delivered
slowly and draft-free through the textile surface and into
the room. With the newly developed D-Lite Alu suspension
system fitted for all types of ceilings and the wide
selection of colors the KE-Interior® System is suitable for
all types of buildings - new or old. The system does not
generate any noise and the soft fabric ducts even provide a
sound-absorbing effect in the room.
KE Interior® systems can be designed in multiple ways. It
can be for a displacement (cooling only) application. Or a
hybrid solution incorporating the KE inject or KE DireJet
technology described in the paragraphs above.
